Technical Operator (Process & Distillery)

A Taste of The Job:
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and flexible Technical Operator to join our Operations Team at our cream liqueur manufacturing and distilling facility in Abbeyleix.
This role is hands-on and varied – from producing both cream and non-cream liquids to operating our distillery plant and supporting planned maintenance. You’ll work a rotating shift pattern (Monday - Friday), with the site moving to full 24/7 coverage in the near future.
If you’re a Level 3 Process Operator (or working towards it), with a background in manufacturing or food & drink, and are ready to get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture all cream and non-cream liquids on-site, and operate distillation processes.
- Open and close down the plant, perform code and HACCP checks as required.
- Support autonomous maintenance activities (e.g. greasing, filter checks) and assist engineers during breakdowns.
- Carry out cleaning, CIP, filtering, intake, dispatch, and product reworking.
- Train and support new operators across all process areas, upskilling the wider team.
- Use SCADA systems and other tech to run operations, complete logs and support investigations.
- Champion hygiene, GMP, and Health & Safety standards throughout the plant.
A Bit About You:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing/process environment (ideally food or drink).
- Flexible operator with a good eye for detail and commitment to doing things right first time.
- Comfortable with IT systems and production control technology (SCADA familiarity a plus).
- Strong communicator with a hands-on, can-do attitude and team player mindset.
- Willing to work rotating shifts including evenings, nights and weekends.
