A Taste of The Job:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support the quality of our production processes by conducting routine testing and analysis of ingredients and finished products. Based at our First Ireland Spirits site, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the high standards our liqueurs are known for.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical analysis on in-process and finished products including tests for alcohol, fat (Gerber), particle size, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, and more.
  • Perform organoleptic evaluations, hot spin, shelf-life testing and bottle pours.
  • Test incoming ingredients and liaise with production and quality teams to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and stock levels.
  • Support the production team by conducting regular bottle line checks and inspections.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance production and quality systems.


A Bit About You:

  • Diploma or degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to demanding production schedules.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the confidence to make decisions or escalate when needed.
